Spencer Diercks earns eighth win of 2024 at Maquoketa

Making a mid-week start in the state of Minnesota, Spencer Diercks traveled to Deer Creek Speedway (Spring Valley, Minn.) on Tuesday afternoon for the 33rd running of the Harris Clash.

Joining a strong contingent of 60 IMCA Modifieds, Diercks drove into the $5,000-to-win main event with a sixth-to-third heat showing. Rolling off on the sixth row, Spencer faded to 23rd at the checkers in the 30-lap affair.

At Davenport (IA) Speedway on Friday, Spencer followed up a strong seventh-to-first heat showing with a victory in the 20-lap feature. After leading the final 10 circuits, Diercks’ win was negated following post-race tech for weighing in three pounds light at the scales.

Passing tech on Saturday at Maquoketa (IA) Speedway after picking up wins in his heat race and the A-Main, Diercks claimed his eighth win of the 2024 season aboard his Rage Chassis No. 29 Modified.

His weekend concluded with an 11th-to-6th run in the Modified main event at Dubuque Fairgrounds (IA) Speedway on Sunday.
