Diercks notches Top-5 with Malvern Bank East Series at Maquoketa

Pulling double duty over his Memorial Day weekend, Spencer Diercks traveled to Maquoketa Speedway (Maquoketa, Iowa) on Saturday afternoon to compete in the Late Model and Modified ranks.

After slipping back to 11th in the Modified feature, Diercks squeezed into the $3,000-to-win Malvern Bank East Series sanctioned Late Model A-Main with a fourth-place finish in his heat. Starting in sixth, Spencer climbed one spot in the 30-lap affair to register a fifth-place finish. He chased Justin Kay, Andy Eckrich, Dylan Thornton, and Jeff Tharp to the checkers.

At Davenport Speedway (Davenport, Iowa) on Monday evening, Spencer steered to a third-place A-Main finish aboard the Ryan Duhme-owned No. 21 Modified.

Starting the Super Late Model Memorial Day finale in 16th via a fourth-place finish in his heat, Diercks capped off the weekend with another charge forward in finishing 11th.
