Podium finish in Darkside Fall Bash opener at Cedar County

In a field of 31 IMCA Modifieds for the three-day event, Diercks secured his spot into the prelim with a sixth-to-second run in his heat. Losing one spot in the 25-lap affair, Spencer posted a third-place finish, which came behind Chris Simpson and Joel Rust.

After starting the next two nights off with a heat race victory, third-starting Diercks retired on lap 12 in Friday’s feature and with 16 circuits remaining in Saturday’s finale.
