Spencer Diercks attends I-80 Nationals

Thursday night found Spencer Diercks in action at I-80 Speedway (Greenwood, Neb.) to take part in the I-80 Nationals. With 46 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) entries on hand for the three-day event, Diercks posted an 11th place finish in his heat race, transferring him into the B-Main for another shot at the opening night preliminary feature. For another $7,000-to-win preliminary feature on Friday, Spencer logged a ninth place finish in his heat, giving him one last shot at the A-Main with a B-Main appearance. Needing to place third or better, Diercks recorded an eighth place finish.

With preliminary results from Thursday and Friday setting the grid for Saturday night’s $30,000-to-win I-80 Nationals A-Main, Diercks rolled off 10th in his B-Main for his last chance at the finale. Sending the Top 4 into the main event, Spencer Diercks pulled off early from the 12-lap consolation event on the fourth lap.
