Diercks notches Top-5 finish at Davenport

On Friday evening, Spencer Diercks made the short trip to Davenport Speedway (Davenport, Iowa) to compete in his IMCA Modified. In a field of 23 cars, Diercks passed five cars in his heat to pick up the win. Receiving the 10th-starting position for the A-Main via the invert, Spencer inched forward five spots in the 20-lapper to finish fifth. He trailed Matt Werner, Chris Zogg, Matt Stein, and Jeff Larson to the checkers.

The following night at Maquoketa Speedway (Maquoketa, Iowa) aboard the TCE No. 12x Modified, Diercks sixth-to-third run in his heat race pinned him on the fifth row for the feature. Losing three spots in the 20-lap affair, Spencer logged a 13th-place outing.

He trekked to Wilmot Raceway (Wilmot, Wis.) on Sunday for the Dirt Kings Late Model Tour event but Mother Nature had other plans.
