Spencer Diercks scores Top-5 finish with World of Outlaws at Boone

Behind the wheel of his Super Late Model, Spencer Diercks invaded Boone Speedway (Boone, Iowa) on Friday afternoon to compete with the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series for the Hawkeye 100 weekend. With time trials setting the grid for the first of two preliminary features, Spencer laid down the 12th fastest time overall. With the grid for the second preliminary feature set by inverting the top-12 finishers from the first feature, Spencer notched a fourth-place finish, trailing Shannon Babb, Frank Heckenast Jr., and Tyler Bruening to the checkers with Logan Martin coming in fifth.

On Saturday with qualifying times and heat results aligning the field for the $30,000-to-win Hawkeye 100, Diercks recorded a fourth-place finish in his heat. Starting in 15th for the three-wide start, Spencer was the second retiree of the race on lap 56.
