Diercks visits Davenport for World of Outlaws event

Hopping behind the wheel of his Floyd’s Waste System No. 29 Late Model, Spencer Diercks returned to Davenport Speedway (Davenport, Iowa) on Tuesday evening for the second visit with the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series at the quarter-mile oval. After timing in seventh fastest in his 14-car time trial group, Diercks was caught behind another competitor while battling for a transfer spot in his heat, transferring him into the B-Main. Grabbing the sixth and final transfer spot, Spencer locked into the 22nd-starting position for the main event. Returning to action on Thursday, Diercks headed to Dubuque Speedway (Dubuque, Iowa) to compete in the Modified ranks. In a field of 18 cars, Spencer secured his spot into the redraw with an 8-lap heat race victory. Rolling off sixth, Diercks fell one spot in the 20-lapper to register a seventh place outing.
